Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota offers a variety of resources to the public including speakers, films, and materials as well as programs designed for awareness and prevention of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. This one-hour training is for salon professionals, to help recognize, respond, and refer clients who may be abused.

With the powerful communication education tool, participants move, do, think and experience the lives of survivors to help increase awareness of the additional struggles survivor face when they are poor.

In Her Shoes: Teen and Dating Violence
Designed with the classroom in mind, In Their Shoes: Teens and Dating Violence - Classroom Edition is an engaging way to talk about dating violence and healthy relationships with young people in one class period. Participants become one of six characters based on the experiences of real teens including sexting, pregnancy, homophobia, and stalking. They make choices about their relationships and move through the scenario by reading about interactions with their dating partner, family, friends, counselors, police, and others.

This one-hour presentation defines what human trafficking is, how to recognize the crime, and where to report and seek resources. . It is happening in our communities. Human trafficking victims may be afraid to ask for help.
